David Carr - QB - Fresno St.

Carr looks to be their guy, although it's early. In the WAC, the guy dominated, but it's a pass happy league without the dominant pass rushers. In the NFL, you don't have the luxury to just sit in the pocket and pick out targets. There, it's become more of a three-step drop and get rid of the ball before you lose your marbles. Nevertheless, going for the franchise quarterback is never a bad ideas.

Julius Peppers - DE - North Carolina

As the draft nears, the Panthers will begin to take more and more offers for this pick. Peppers is a very good defensive end, and they are so very hard to come by. For a bad team, this is the safe, logical, and smart selection. Now, if the Texans surprise the world and make Peppers the #1 pick, watch for the Panthers to move out of this position at all costs!

Quentin Jammer- CB - Texas

The Lions need bodies on offense and defense. After signing former Dolphin safety Brian Walker, it seems unlikely Roy Williams would be in their plans. If their run for Duane Starks is unsuccessful, Jammer looks to be the logical choice.

John Henderson - DT - Tennessee

Brings in a big body to anchor the defensive line. With Ricky Williams in the division, they must stop the run. He has been dropping recently because of injury concerns but he's a monster of a defensive tackle worthy of this selection. If another defensive tackle is selected ahead of Henderson-- it will be a mistake and the team(s) doing so will regret the decision for years to come. Joe Harrington is also a possibility, but I wouldn't select him here.

Bryant McKinnie - OT - Miami

Their greatest need is at offensive line. And McKinnie is the best offensive lineman in the draft. Simply a no-brainer at this point.

Roy Williams - S - Oklahoma

A real turning point in the draft, and what fun my 'Boys are involved. The Raiders are looking to move up for Henderson. He's a hot commodity, but don't forget Larry Lacewell's Tennessee connection and/or obsession (Goodrich). William Green has also been mentioned, but this is much too high for him. Look for the 'Boys to grab the playmaker-- and difference-maker in Roy Williams. This would give the Cowboys the best safety tandem in the NFL and complete the defense.

Mike Williams- OT - Texas

They had difficulties running the ball on offense. Williams can step right in and start-- allowing the Vikings to build a defense that's in shambles with the rest of the draft. Early concerns about his knee have been squashed, so he should go in the top-ten.

Wendell Bryant - DT - Wisconsin

Reportedly very interested in John Henderson, the Chiefs should be happy with the active Bryant. If they get irked that Henderson is gone and sour on a defensive tackle, a receiver like Lelie is a possibility here.

Mike Pearson- OT - Florida

Defensive tackle could be an option, but in a deep draft for defensive tackles, they can get one in the second round.

Phillip Buchanon - CB - Miami

Buchanon is pretty much a lock if he's still available. They defense was improved last season, and only gets better with his addition.

Albert Haynesworth - DT - Tennessee

Offensively, the Colts can plays with anyone. On defense, they just need someone! If their defense was as awesome as their offense, they could punch a ticket to the Super Bowl. Haynesworth is a guy that can help a defense ranked 29th last season toward that goal. Tony Dungy will build the defense this entire draft. With Dungy directing the Colts, a Super Bowl title within two year is possible.

Kalimba Edwards - DE - South Carolina

Thanks to injuries the Cards are still in need of the pass rusher off the edge. Edwards can play defensive end or even some outside linebacker.

Donte’ Stallworth - WR - Tennessee

With an extra first-round selection, they get a complete receiver.

Ashley Lelie - WR - Hawaii

They would have loved Stallworth, but Lelie will be a quality receiver, making the Titans a dangerous offensive machine.

Jeremy Shockey - TE - Miami

As a Cowboys fan, this would not make me happy. Shockey will make life miserable for defenses in the NFC East.

William Green - RB - Boston College

Butch Davis will get a running back early. If it's not Green here-- it will be Portis later.

Jabbar Gaffney - WR - Florida

Much needed help for Michael Vick. The Falcons wide receivers are pathetic, and Gaffney will inject life into a lifeless and boring offense.

Joe Harrington - QB - Oregon

The hated 'Skins needs Harrington. His Florida retreads are not going to cut it.

Ryan Sims - DT - North Carolina

Their run defense is a huge question mark and they have signed Leon Lett in recent history in an attempt to plug holes. Sims will plug a hole and more.

Edward Reed - S - Miami

Yet another Hurricane goes in the first round. Reed is always around the ball and helps in a division that include the Rams and 49ers.

Daniel Graham - TE - Colorado

An upgrade in the passing game. Will catch many more passes that Gruden this year!

Lito Sheppard - CB - Florida

Lost two corners in the expansion draft. A need pick.

Anthony Weaver - DT - Norte Dame

A pick that could be used to move up for one of the top defensive tackles. If they stay, a DT is a pretty safe bet.

Derek Ross - CB - Ohio State

Duane Starks left in free agency. Good enough reason for me.

Dwight Freeney -DE - Syracuse

Defensive front wore down late in the year. Freeney give them options.

Toniu Fonoti OG - Nebraska

Eagles need offensive line help and Fonoti is nasty enough to be an Eagle.

Levi Jones - OT - Arizona State

Always seems to need offensive line help and depth.

Javon Walker - WR - Florida St.

They traded for Glenn, but he could self-destruct at any time!

Napoleon Harris - OLB - Northwestern

Teams with Urlacher to form quite a defensive duo.

Andre Gurode OG - Colorado

Josh Reed - WR - Louisiana State

Like they really need another receiver! The rich get richer.

Marquise Walker - WR - Michigan

Tom Brady throws to another former Michigan star.
