I must say this is the first big dissapointment for me of the off season.

I really wanted Rolle. Would take Sharper as a 2nd choice.

Last year I wanted Sharper or Dawkins. Did not get either of them.

Our defense will not improve until we upgrade safety. Top priority.
I am not optimistic we land Thomas or Mays in the draft.

Gnats were major players in the draft at FS. By them taking Rolle... Thomas may be that much closer. From my estimation Thomas will land somewhere San Fransisco's 17th pick an the cowboys 27th pick... I really would not be shocked if he went to the Iggles at 24.

Might move him down the board enough that a trade up to get him wouldn't be THAT costly. Not sure if I'd rather have him or Iupati. A more consistent offense could help the defense as much as better FS play, maybe more.

You would really want to make this guy the 3rd or 4th highest paid player on the team?

Not me, Giants overpaid and this guy has never really been that great, decent, but not $7M year, no way.

I really dont think Sensabaugh and Hamlin were as bad as everyone else does.

#2 scoring D in the NFL last year (only stat that really matters) who gives a rats asss about yards gained.

And Sensabaugh played half the year with a cast that made it near impossible to catch the ball.

Dont let one play against Minny be the judge of a season

I think that was more than he even thought he would get, with that being said.. Hell I wanted Rolle as well, he an agressive tackler w/ very good coverage skills...but NOT at that price.

We prob DO indeed need to upgrade the Safety position-- however NOT at that price.

If there was ONE position I would be upset we didn't address early in the draft, that would be the o-line... that's a MUST.

In FA, we can afford to "plug-in"... I for one don't believe we MUST get a starter here.

Finally the voice of reason!!

I do think the gnats paid him way to much. Now he's the highest paid Safety in the NFL. He's better then Polomalu? Ed Reed? don't think so. This will make it two years in a row that the gnats have overpaid for a player, last year it was Canty. Of course, the New York biased media will say how great a move this is, just as they did last year.

I really wanted Rolle as far back as the draft when he first came into the NFL. I think he is very good. I'm also not a huge fan of Hamlin as most here know.

Without a salary cap -- bring him in Scotty. It's all Monopoly money and a $15 hamburger at Cowboys Stadium anyway. With a salary cap and at that type money, I will pass. He will make the Giants secondary better, however. Sign Austin NOW!

I can't really argue with you on the salary part. Giants over paid for sure.
I was not even looking at what they paid, only that they signed him.
Just saying salary aside, not sure if we would have even made him an offer.
I did want to add a safety in FA. Rolle was the best one.

Sensabaugh is not bad. I am not a Hamlin fan at all.
He simply does not make enough plays.

The defense was very good. I speak of safety because I feel of all
the positions on defense it is the weakest. That is an indication
of how solid we are on defense.

You guys are like sharks in the water and I feel like a Tuna.

Nah Hollywood, no wants blood

to me i just believe we probably had the best D in the NFL in the last half of the year.

and there is not way Hamlin and Sensabaugh werent contributors to that. Spears too. he gets no credit but did his job and did it well.

IF we could upgrade, sure why not, but not at silly money either.

To me the Oline and depth on the Oline is the biggest priority.

when Flo went down and Columbo struggled in Minny so did the Cowboys season. They had no answer for Minny's rush, Free wasnt terrible but if Flo hadnt went down he would have likely replaced Columbo.

Romo stays untouched the Cowboys win simple as that

:iamwithstupid:

we've been seeing allot the same way as of late...

O-Line first, then safety, then ILB.

I'm sure it wont last long

maybe until now

I see O line first, then BPA, whoever it is except RB, even a WR or CB that can help the return games, I see another Oline later as well.

I dont think we need to reach for a safety this year, but if a good one is available.... same at ILB dont count out Williams contributing, plus if BC stays he played pretty well the last half of the year.

This team is very loaded, there are not many starting positions open, but depth is needed almost everywhere except maybe the D line
