I continue to hear glowing reports on Keanu Neal. The Florida junior has been timing in the high 4.4s at 212 pounds and posted a vertical jump of 38 inches in training. He's looked much better in combine training to this point than fellow junior Vonn Bell. The one red flag I've heard on Neal are constant hamstring issues that have plagued him, though sources tell me it's a situation where Neal played through pain rather than ever letting the situation heal. I am starting to hear first-round grades on the safety and continually hear the names of the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers as potential suitors in the first frame.

I am expecting some really fast times from the defensive backs, and it should be the fastest group of the combine.

Miami junior Artie Burns should break into the 4.2s in the forty and at the worst will be in the very low 4.3s.

Vernon Hargreaves of Florida may not be as fast as Burns, but I've been told for weeks he will "blow up the combine." His testing numbers will include a 40 time in the low 4.3s, shuttle times that run sub four seconds and a 3-cone time under seven seconds.

Zach Sanchez should check in around 183 pounds, which is a good sign for the seemingly thin-bodied cornerback. When I asked about situations last season when Sanchez was beaten, especially deep, I was told he struggled with an ankle injury through much of the campaign.

Times in the mid 4.3s are expected from Cyrus Jones of Alabama.

Anxious to see what a couple of people do today.

I want to hear a Tight End punch a bag loud enough to draw attention.

I'm anxious to watch some of them run the gauntlet.
I thought some of the throws yesterday were not done very well.
If it's like that today.....it could get crazy with the do-overs.

Really looking for a BIG Wide-Out who turns a 40 BELOW 4.4.

Florida State's Jalen Ramsey is the favorite to be the first defensive back selected in the 2016 NFL Draft, and he certainly aced the eyeball test at the Combine. Ramsey is big at 6-foot-1, 209 pounds and also has very long arms at 33.38 inches. Ramsey should be a workout warrior at the Combine as well.

Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves is put together well. At 5-foot-10, 204 pounds, Hargreaves has the strength to battle NFL wide receivers. He was an inch shorter and slightly heavier than his listed numbers. On the negative side, Hargreaves had some of the shorter arms (30.63) among the defensive backs. He needs a strong combine to be a top-10 pick.

Multiple teams have given Virginia Tech cornerback Kendall Fuller a first-round grade based off his tape. However, Fuller missed almost the entire 2015 season with a knee injury, so his medical exam at the combine could have a big impact on his draft grade. His weigh-in came in at 5-foot-11, 187 pounds, which was almost his exact listed numbers, though a little lighter. The medical was the most important part of the trip to Indianapolis for Fuller's draft hopes.

Sources believed that Clemson cornerback Mackensie Alexander was smaller than his listed measurements. The Tigers had Alexander at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, and at the Combine, his actual numbers were slightly smaller at 5-foot-10, 190 pounds. Thus while Alexander was smaller than his listed numbers, he still was close and has enough size to be a starting cornerback in the NFL.

Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple is on the bubble of the first round and needs a strong combine to be a Thursday night selection. Apple checked in at 6-foot, 199 pounds with quality length arms of 31.38 inches. Those are good numbers, and Apple has an athletic skill set that could impress in Indy.

Baylor cornerback Xavien Howard has received some early round grades from teams. At the combine, Howard checked in with excellent numbers at 6-foot, 201 pounds with quality arm length. If Howard has a strong ombine performance, his stock could really skyrocket.

Virginia Tech safety Karl Joseph (5-9, 205) was an inch shorter than his listed height, and that was a little disappointing. NFL teams really like Joseph's college tape, but he had a knee injury in practice that ended his senior year after only four games. Joseph needed a favorable medical review in Indianapolis.

Oklahoma cornerback Zack Sanchez was known to be lighter than most defensive backs, and that was given numerical proof at the combine. Sanchez (5-10, 185) was 10 pounds heavier than his listed numbers. However if Sanchez can't add more weight, he will be relegated to being a nickel corner in the NFL.

LSU cornerback Rashard Robinson has off-the-field issues that caused him to barely play over the last few years, but teams feel that Robinson has enough talent that he has received late-round grades. Robinson (6-0, 171) hurt himself with being that light at his weigh-in. He has to fill out his frame for the next level. He may need a year on the practice squad to work the rust off and build up his body to compete at the next level.
