28 NFL teams diverged on the Vanderbilt campus today in Nashville for the school’s annual Pro Day. Among the teams on campus were the Chiefs, Bengals, Browns, Broncos, Eagles, Falcons, Jaguars, Jets, Panthers, Cowboys, Texans, Titans, Steelers, Cardinals, Chargers, Seahawks, Patriots, Packers, Raiders, Vikings, Saints, 49ers, Bucs, 49ers, Giants and Lions.
OL Jake Bernstein, OL Spencer Pulley, LB Darreon Herring, DB Jahmel McIntosh, TE Steven Sche, DE Caleb Azubike, LB Stephen Weatherly, LB Darreon Herring and Safety Andrew Williamson were all in attendance trying to bolster their NFL chances with a strong showing.
Williamson turned some heads in the 40 running a 4.43. That time would’ve been good for second at the Combine. The Commodore safety started ten games last season but missed games against MTSU and South Carolina due an arm injury.
Williamson had a real good day. In addition to his 4.45 time, Williamson measured 6006, 208 pounds and posted a 35-inch vertical jump as well as a 10-4 broad jump. Williamson was also under 7 seconds in his 3-cone.
"He's a humble kid," notes Brown. "He's a very intelligent kid. He talks about a lot of things other than football. He's interested in a lot of things other than football. But he wants to be the greatest to put on pads, so I'm going to help him get there."
